Mark "Doc" Brown of Greencastle was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson FLHXS Street Glide Specia when he went off the roadway for an unknown reason and struck the guide rail at mile marker 13.5 on I-81 in Guilford Township and the call about motorcyclist came into dispatch at 7:11 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The Franklin County Coroner’s Office was soon called to the scene, according to dispatch.
All lanes were closed between Exit 14 at Wayne Avenue and Exit 10 at Marion Road for just under two hours, according to 511PA.
Brown was was originally from Savannah, Georgia, he attended Sol C. Johnson High School, and he was the owner and CEO at M D1Digital Marketing, Director at Skyline with Brinks in Greencastle Bro Co. Security, and a Sales Consultant at Battlefield Harley-Davidson, according to his Facebook. He was a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Penn State Nittany Lions, as well as his motorcycles, his profile shows. He was married to his beloved wife Bonny for 22 years, according to his bio.
He is survived by his family and many friends.
